The Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Cruise Line’s latest Excel-class cruise ship, has unexpectedly set sail in the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany on July 21, 2023. This is a key milestone in the construction process, as it signifies the completion of the ship’s outer hull. The float-out was moved up due to the impending inclement weather. Currently, the vessel is being guided to the wet dock at the shipyard with the help of tugboats. The interior design and furnishing of the ship will be done while it is docked, which is expected to take several weeks. Following this, the Carnival Jubilee will undertake a unique voyage known as the Ems River conveyance to reach the North Sea. This voyage will be led by experienced pilots and tugboats, and will be followed by sea trials in August. Once the trials are completed, the ship will officially become a part of the Carnival Cruise Line.
